Ferris Bueller€™s Day Off

During filming there were only 100 of these cars in the world so replicas were made using fiberglass. There was only one 1961 Ferrari GT California actually used in the film. Since its release, this has become one of the most expensive cars ever sold. A fun film fact, the plate of the Ferrari spells NRVOUS.

Batman Begins

Tumbler The Tumbler from Batman Begins is the ultimate car for a superhero. It can go from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and can reach speeds of 160mph. It has a range of useful features including €˜Attack€™ mode where the driver goes from a sitting to a laying position, offering additional protection and manoeuvrability. It is also fitted with machine guns, a rocket launcher, a jet engine, explosive mines and armour. The front wheels can eject and become the Batpod.

Death Proof

Grind House (Death Proof) The car used in Deathproof, in true Tarantino style, is the 1970 Dodge Challenger. The Challenger is a direct reference to the 1971 film Vanishing Point. A little known fact is that this model has frameless windows, so window frames had to be added in order to enable the ships mast stunt.

Blues Brothers

Bluesbrothers1 The Blues Brothers is famous for its epic chase sequence. The brother€™s car, more lovingly known as the Bluesmobile, was a 1974 Dodge Monaco sedan. In the film it was described as a used Mount Prospect police car with a cop motor, cop tires, cop suspension and cop shocks. During filming, 13 former police cars were used.

Thelma and Louise

Thelma Louise Car Thelma and Louise was critically acclaimed as being a film promoting female empowerment. The 966 blue Thunderbird convertible is in many ways the third main character of the film. The Thunderbird was used as a symbol of freedom, and provided the women with the ultimate escape at the climax of the film.

Back to the Future

Back to the Future The time machine in Back to the Future is one of the most iconic and loved cars in film. Doc Brown€™s creation was a modified DeLorean DMC-12 sports car that could travel through time when driven at 88 miles per hour.
