Jessica Biel. Hilary Swank. Robert De Niro. Michelle Pfieffer. Abigail Breslin. All of these are pretty good actors who for some reason or another (money, let's be honest) found themselves in the cast of boring, lifeless holiday-themed vignette-film
New Year's Eve. Halle Berry found herself amongst the performers here, playing a rather minor role as a nurse supporting De Niro's cancer patient through his final weeks. None of the actors are really invested in this film, given the thankless and sometimes rather cliche roles they're forced to play and Berry's nurse with a husband overseas in Afghanistan is so half-baked an idea that Berry has nothing to work with, given her scance seven minutes of screentime.
