How does Tyrese Gibson as The Green Lantern sound?

Rumors on the web say he is in the running to play the John Stewart version of the character in the JUSTICE LEAGUE movie.

There's rumors on the web today that Tyrese Gibson, one of the stars of the TRANSFORMERS and a guy who is frequently linked with the role of LUKE CAGE, is in the running to play The Green Lantern in the upcoming JUSTICE LEAGUE movie. It's claimed he is just one of many names that Warners are mulling over in their offices right now. But much better choice than T.I. from where I'm sitting. This guy has the build, has the presence and ya know... Green Lantern won't be the main focus of this movie. Batman and Superman are the Kirk's and Spocks if you will... the Lantern will be the Sulu. Sure's he's no Bale but for a movie much more bothered about action than telling a serious story, I can go along with this guy. source - movie blog ugo
