I LOVE YOU, MAN is the third division of Judd Apatow...

There's three levels of Judd Apatow. First there's the movies he has directed which at the moment is two in KNOCKED UP and THE 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN, two movies I absolutely love. Second there's movies he has produced and that feature actors from his filmography which are good but not quite the level as the movies above with SUPERBAD, FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL and THE PINEAPPLE EXPRESS. Third there's movies he has had nothing at all to do with but features actors he has helped get over like the upcoming ROLE MODELS which looks dreadful. Movies that are trying to appeal to the same audience but aren't nearly as cleverly written or produced. I LOVE YOU, MAN features predominately in that category. Paul Rudd and Jason Segel star in what looks to be a terribly unfunny movie about a guy who has a lost of girl friends but is in need of a male friend to be the best man at his wedding. It's from the director of ALONG CAME POLLY which similarly had very few laughs...

The movie opens March 20th in the U.S. and April 10th in the U.K.
