While Steppenwolf doesn't pose much of a threat in Justice League's final fight, he still manages to completely mess up Cyborg's day, tearing off his limbs and throwing him to the ground in a broken heap.

In the epilogue however it's revealed that the hero, along with his father Silas Stone, has gotten to work on creating a new and improved body for Cyborg to continue his heroic duties with. Not only is it a practical transformation, but his new chest-piece is now emblazoned with a "C" sigil on the front, indicating the character finally embracing his superhero identity.

Vic Stone is by far the most troubled character in Justice League, struggling to come to terms with his new body and abilities, at certain points even being unable to control his new mechanical frame. The finale makes it pretty clear that he's long since reconciled these issues though, and is ready to use his powers to help people, rather than spend the rest of his life sulking in his apartment.
