Keaton & Martin... again... new project or same old one? Confused!

Six weeks after it was announced that Keaton & Martin would re-team again for One Big Happy - comes news of another reunion flick!

On March 31st, we brought you the news that Steve Martin and Diane Keaton were to team together for the first time in 15 years for One Big Happy, a new Paramount Pictures comedy which would see them play a couple trying to reconnect with the rest of their family amid various obstacles. Basically it was being pretty much setup as an unofficial third movie in the popular Father of the Bride series.

So bizarrely, from Variety today (the same source as before) comes the news that Martin & Keaton will team for a new comedy titled From Zero to Sixty, which will also see them play a couple and is also setup at Paramount. The trades don't mention the other project at all but do say...
Robert Simonds will produce. Simonds pitched Martin's idea last week to each studio, and Par was the most aggressive in taking it off the table. Martin and Keaton would play a couple in the comedy.
Ah, so then I guess it must be a new project because One Big Happy was announced some weeks ago now, so presumably Martin has come up with a better idea for their reunion than what Party of Five creators Amy Lippman and Chris Keyser did for the first reunion idea. Plot details on this new movie are unknown but it's said if a writer can be found it could be put into production by the end of the fall. Keaton & Martin seem desperate to work together again - I wonder if this is all some conspiracy to try and get 20th Century Fox interested in more Father of the Bride flicks?
