Man Of Steel: 7 Reasons The ''S'' Stands For Sucks
Man Of Steel was finally released this past Friday. I was one of the few who lined up to see the first showing, having been excited by the trailer and being a semi-fan of Zack Snyder. Produced by Christopher Nolan, Man Of Steel is an attempt to humanize Superman as much as possible. The film follows his birth, his upbringing on Earth and his transformation into Superman. It might sound familiar but Man Of Steel promised a different take on the Superman origin story. Unfortunately, when the end credits started rolling, I was still waiting for that ''different take'' to get me excited and fired up. In fact, the movie dragged so much in places, they should really tell people to bring a comfortable pillow with them, just in case they need a nap to get away from all that realism. So what went wrong? Well there are many reasons why Man Of Steel sucked, mainly it was trying so hard to be different that it somehow manged to implode under all that heavy realism and become a mediocre summer blockbuster that you have seen many times before. It also might be because it is clear that Man Of Steel might be credited with having only one director but it is evidently clear that two people were steering the Superman ship. So to break down all the problems with the film, here are the 7 main reasons why Man Of Steel was a major disappointment. And of course, please be warned that there are SPOILERS ahead.
