Maze Runner: The Death Cure Review: 6 Ups & 3 Downs

Ups...

6. It's The Most Action-Packed YA Movie Ever Made

This is no exaggeration: you will not find a YA movie jam-packed with more action than this. In terms of its set-pieces, The Maze Runner franchise absolutely saved its best material for last, with the film featuring so many tightly-crafted action sequences you'll literally lose count.

From an opening Mad Max-inspired dusty vehicular chase through to a ludicrously entertaining mid-film sequence involving a bus, and the barmy third-act - which is pretty much one long, continuous chain of action scenes - nobody is going to complain that the film is lacking in bang for their buck.

You might wish it was all supported by a stronger narrative, but the abundance of explosions, shootouts and car chases absolutely helps that meaty runtime pass by a little easier.
