The first three phases of the MCU saw audiences introduced to some of Marvel's biggest superheroes. Earth's Mightiest Heroes came together thanks to Nick Fury, and vowed to, if not save the world, then they would at least avenge it.

The Avengers took on Loki, Tony Stark's sentient A.I. creation Ultron, and supervillain Thanos; each time using their powers to come together and be greater than themselves. When an evil become too big for our heroes to fight on their own, they knew that they had their fellow Avengers to help them.
