One What If? Scenario For Each Marvel Film

What if Marvel's What If? is one of the best MCU Disney+ shows we get?

After the Infinity Saga came to an end with Spider-Man: Far From Home, Marvel fans were already eager to see what was coming next in the MCU.

One announcement that no one was expecting was Marvel's What If? A animated television show that will comprise of episodes that look at what could of happened if events transpired differently. While surprised, fans voiced excitement for the series immediately.

This is clearly inspired by the What If? series of comics, which saw such scenarios as 'What If Spider-Man Joined The Fantastic Four?' and 'What If Captain America Became President?'. Uatu will guide us through these stories, and while the scenarios we'll be seeing will be somewhat limited to what we've seen in the MCU, the few snippets we have seen suggest that anything could be on the table.

The show is set to premiere in 2021, but it's difficult not to begin speculating on what we might see in some of the episodes. Here's a list of possible What If scenarios we could see in the show, plus the ones that have been confirmed or suggested so far!

What If Rhodey Did Take The Spare Suit?

Iron Man is perhaps still one of the greatest, if the not the greatest, MCU films to date. Unlike it's follow up movie, it knew when to hold back and didn't over stuff it's plot. One example of this is when Rhodey sees the spare suit and decides not suit up, saving the introduction of War Machine for the next film.

Maybe Uatu will show us an alternate timeline where Tony is unable to reach his spare arc reactor in time and can't suit up to stop Iron Monger. In this scenario, Rhodey may not have the choice of waiting until next time. Having him suit up and save the day may not seem that different of a scenario, it would mean one major change for the MCU.

Tony Stark wouldn't have to reveal himself as Iron Man, a hallmark moment of the MCU. Instead, he could actually go with his original comic book approach to the Iron Man persona, explaining that the Iron Man is actually Tony Stark's personal bodyguard. It would be a fun way to explore a different ending to Iron Man while also paying homage to the comics.
