Power Rangers: Every Major Character Ranked From Worst To Best

4. Trini Kwan

For big portions of the movie, Trini is basically your prototypical sassy, edgy teenager, but the payoff to this makes it all worth it, and hopefully the next film will grant her a little more variation to that end.

Trini has been a character of much discussion recently due to the revelation that she's gay, but the movie does a great job of organically massaging it into the plot without making it seem forced.

It's fantastic to see a $100 million blockbuster movie featuring an LGBTQ protagonist, and though she could've done more overall both dramatically and action-wise, this was still a firm introduction for the character.

Best Moment: During the movie's big, emotional campfire heart-to-heart, Trini discusses her homosexuality and her parents' refusal to accept her not being "normal". It's a great scene, and Becky G totally nails it.
