Scottish HIGHLANDER?

Kevin McKidd approached to play the new Connor McLeod in remake.

Kevin McKidd, who was actually believed to be Matthew Vaughn's first and only choice for his version of Thor - has revealed on a Dublin Radio Show that he has been approached to play Connor McLeod in the Highlander remake over at Summit Entertainment. McKidd who was a regular on Rome and has just seen his sci-fi show Journeyman cancelled after one season, is thought apt enough to wear the kilt and wield the sword once owned by Christopher Lambert.

The remake of the 1986 cult classic was announced in May and has Iron Man scribes Art Marcum & Matt Holloway on board to write the film after being dumped from Iron Man 2 duties. Hate the idea of a remake (they could easy do a movie "in the vein of Highlander) but I like the casting choice. I felt bad for McKidd when Thor went sour because Marvel really didn't show the guts in giving the Scottish lad a lead role in one of their blockbusters. Let's hope Summit Entertainment and McKidd himself can show them what they missed out on. I see no reason why he would turn them down. source - joblo
