Spectre: 10 Crazy Predictions (That Could End Up True)

1. Bond Gets Married

Many have noticed that some of the released information on Spectre bears a strong resemblance to another Bond film: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Both heavily feature SPECTRE (and possibly Ernst Starvo Blofeld), both were filmed around the Alps, and both feature skiing and a cable car sequence. The only missing ingredient in Spectre is Bond's short lived marriage, but is that actually missing? Madeleine Swann (Lea Seydoux) is one of the two Bond girls in Spectre, and not much is known about the character. Based on the film's similarities to On Her Majesty's Secret Service, and the fact that the Craig films favour emotional depth over cheesy one liners, it is not unorthodox to think Bond will once again fall in love. Furthermore, there may lie a subtle clue hinting at James Bond's marriage in the film's teaser poster, which displays a glass bullet hole that crinkles out into SPECTRE's octopus logo. Fans of the series know that a glass bullet hole was only ever featured prominently in one other Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, where a bullet went through Bond's windshield, and struck his wife Tracy, killing her. Hardcore fans of the series have often lamented the fact that Sean Connery wasn't the lead in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, wondering if his performance may have improved an already enjoyable film. While you won't get Connery, Daniel Craig is just as good a Bond, if not better, and he would instantly be able to sell an audience on Bond's most emotional moment.
