6. More Desert Action

Some more desert action, which perhaps suggests that what Finn and Poe were looking at in the previous shot was actually Threepio coming in on a skiff, and the attacking enemies. The Resistance don't have much in the way of resources, and you can see just how beat up their transport looks here, especially compared to the speeders being used by the First Order, and the jetpacks(!) too, which have something of a Prequels/The Clone Wars vibe about them).

This suggests that, with Rey being attacked by Kylo Ren, the rest of the Resistance will also be attacked on the desert planet, driving the heroes apart for part of the film before the converge together later on.

At the same time, there have been reports of a MacGuffin in the film that both sides are after, and this could be part of the race to get that.
