Star Wars: Every Lightsaber Duel Ranked Worst To Best
6. Rey Vs Kylo Ren (Round Three) - The Rise Of Skywalker
Rey and Kylo Ren's final fight is easily their best, and unquestionably the strongest sequence of the clunky Rise of Skywalker. Taking place on the ruins of the Second Death Star, whilst raging waves crash around them in a visually stunning backdrop, the two fight it out one last time.
This fight has all the typical aspects of a great duel, with dangerous surroundings, narrow footways and emotional payoffs shining through with every clash of the pairs' lightsabers.
Soaked through, emotionally battered and equally determined, the fight puts both Rey and Ren on full display, allowing their inner-turmoil and confliction to guide them forward. Kylo Ren manages to gain the upper-hand and knock Rey down, but before he can finish her off he is contacted through the Force by a dying Leia, who distracts him long enough for Rey to stab him through the stomach.
It's a seriously emotional showdown, with all the hallmarks of a great Star Wars duel and one of the saga's very best uses of scenery.
