The Amazing Spider-Man Viral Treasure Hunt Leads To Peter Parker's Backpack

See the items Peter Parker carries around with him everyday to school.

Sony have launched their latest viral campaign. Earlier this week they launched the website MarkoftheSpider-man.com, and now we know it relates to a viral treasure hunt, similar to a campaign Sony ran last year for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Last night, the viral website's Twitter feed gave out coordinates for several major U.S. cities, all of which it was worked out pointed to the direction of local comic book shops with the message; "Property of Peter Parker... Lost". SuperHeroHype took the opportunity to visit their local comic book shop, the Los Angeles Secret Headquarters comic shop in Silverlake and they found a Peter Parker backpack of treasures including shoes, work goggles, sunglasses, keys, drawing pencils, a pencil sharpener, a sketchbook, a binder, two textbooks, film canisters, photo contact sheets and a small canister and some watch parts.

You can see the full gallery of the images from the Peter Parker backpack below; How very cool huh? One of the best viral packages of stuff we've seen in a while. Though I'm not sure how many of these viral backpacks that are found by people will ever read 'The World of Physics' or 'Chemistry in the Community', though the very sharpened pencils would probably come in handy. The Amazing Spider-Man is due for release July 3rd and stars Andrew Garfield (Peter Parker), Emma Stone (Gwen Stacy), Rhys Ifans (Dr. Curt Connors), Denis Leary (Captain Stacy), Martin Sheen (Uncle Ben) and Sally Field (Aunt May). 500 Days of Summer Marc Webb helms from a script by James Vanderbilt (Zodiac).
