An infamous visual that proved hugely influential, with a whole spate of cat-featuring posters immediately popping up throughout the '40s following its release, including: The Curse of The Cat People (a semi-sequel to Cat People), The Creeper, The Catman of Paris and The Cat Creeps. None had quite the same impact or dark ominous edge that this 1942 artwork emanated.
