The Emoji Movie Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

1. It's Really, Really Short

The Emoji Movie
Sony Pictures Animation

It barely qualifies as a compliment, but at least this isn't some bloated 100+ minute animated film that thinks it's actually being profound and saying something worthwhile.

Sony basically knows they're shoveling up a turd (or rather, a poop) with this one and smartly keeps things politely brief, with the credits rolling after around just 75 minutes of film time, ensuring that no matter how much you hate it, the experience is over relatively quickly (but certainly not painlessly).

The scant length doesn't mean it won't feel longer than Schindler's List, so make sure you've got something fun planned for once the torture is over.
