THE ROCKER trailer doesn't really Rock.

Didn't...laugh...once!

Outside of Steve Carell, those main players from the awesome show The Office (which I've just started to get into despite my years of misgivings about remaking the classic British show) have struggled as of late to transform their popularity into feature films. Jenna Fischer (Walk Hard), John Krasinski (License to Wed, Leatherheads) and now from the looks of this really disappointing and effortless comedy The Rocker, funnyman Rainn Wilson could be heading the same way with his biggest film role to date.

Coming off as a slightly more adult version of School of Rock - the Fox Atomic movie revolves around a failed drummer who tries to relive the past by joining his nephews high school band. It's that tired old plot again which will be looking at winning that Old School/Wayne's World crowd.

This comedy opens in the first week of August (a month later in the U.K.) and has disaster written all over it. source - /film
