It's award season in the film business, which means all of the stars and crew behind 2022's movies get dressed up in their finery. Everyone waits to see whose name will be called out when the envelopes are opened, and undoubtedly the biggest date in award season is the night of the Academy Awards.

Everyone in the movie industry wants to take home an Oscar, and the Academy has just released this nominations for this year's Oscars. As is often the case, this year's nominations certainly cover an eclectic set of movies.

The blockbusters have landed nominations, with Avatar: The Way of Water and Top Gun: Maverick in the running to take home the Best Picture Award. Steven Spielberg's almost autobiographical tale The Fabelmans is up for a few gongs, while Everything Everywhere All at Once takes the prize of being the film up for the most awards at this year's event.

Many movie fans pride themselves on making sure they've seen all the picture up for an Oscar in any particular year. Regarded as being the best movies of the past year, how many 2023 nominations have you seen?
