Toy Story 4: 19 Easter Eggs & References Explained

16. Boo

Toy Story 4 Boo
Pixar

Though Bonnie's first day at kindergarten focuses almost exclusively on her struggle to fit in, an extremely tantalising Easter egg is obscured right before your very eyes.

As Bonnie creates Forky, to the right of her head is a girl with jet black hair and a pink shirt who bears a striking resemblance to Boo from Monsters, Inc.

Cleverly, the character's face is entirely out of focus, providing just enough ambiguity and plausible deniability for Pixar, even if it's blatantly obvious the nod was intentional.

Whether you wrack your brain trying to figure out the mechanics of these two characters co-existing at this age or just accept it as a cute reference, it's a neat inclusion.
