Vinnie Jones to hop aboard The Midnight Meat Train

midnightmeatposter.jpgVinnie Jones is set to play a subway stalking murderer who leaves his victims bodies hanging on trains in Lakeshore Entertainment's adapted Clive Barker story The Midnight Meat Train. The film which begins shooting on March 18th is to be directed by Japanese helmer Ryhuei Kitamura and will co-star Brooke Shields, Bradley Cooper and Leslie Bibb. Cooper will play a struggling New York photographer who attempts to catch "the subway butcher" on film in an effort to make himself a ton of cash. Bibb will play the photographer's girlfriend, whilst Shields will play the art gallery owner who "befriends" him. The book is actually part of a series of Clive Barker short stories titled "Books of Blood" released in the 1980's and after doing a bit of research on the web, it's said to be gory as hell. Malformed creatures that eat people are said to be involved, but whether or not this gets translated into the film I don't know. Love the title of the flick though and I think Vinnie Jones was pretty much born to play a serial killer. source - variety
