10 Awful Video Games That Almost Everybody Plays

1. Destiny

Destiny The Taken King
Bungie

Let's not mince words: Destiny is a waste of time. In many ways, so are all video games, and so are all other forms of entertainment; after all, they're not productive and they don't improve your life in any meaningful way. With that said, most films, books and games are at least trying to keep you entertained; they're a pleasant distraction from the chores of reality, a means to cope with the frustrations of everyday life.

Destiny, on the other hand, cannot possibly function as escapism; even if you were in intensive care, the game would be a worse alternative to your existence. It's just a never-ending grind, an infinite ascent that just keeps on going, and never lets up. You'll travel to the same places and shoot the same guys an incalculable amount of times; the story is occasionally interesting, but the singleplayer isn't as rewarding as the multiplayer, meaning that you'll spend most of your time teaming with other players to achieve an array of disjointed objectives for the promise of more XP.

Like many of the entries on this list, Destiny is a safe pair of hands. It's duller than dishwater, but at least you know what you're going to get, which is the reason you keep playing it, isn't it?
