Episodic horror is the kind of thing that gets certain people foaming at the mouth with excitement - those people being folk who love getting scared. A series of games telling different frightening stories and putting players through hell is a gift to all lovers of spooky gaming, and the Fears to Fathom series started strong with this home invasion shock fest.

FTF: Home Alone tells another simple story of a young boy who is (obviously) left home alone at night. However, he soon discovers that he's in massive amounts of danger as a figure begins to appear outside the house.

Part of what makes this game so frightening is how little guidance there is. You're given close to no hand-holding and are expected to figure out how to survive on your own. This makes the whole experience unbelievably tense, as each decision you make feels like a life-or-death choice - which it usually is.

It is simple, creepy, has a gorgeous VHS film aesthetic, and will keep you up at night wondering if there's someone looking through the window *shudder*.
