Forgetting about a certain long-awaited game are we Game Awards?
Although the announcement for Kingdom Hearts 3's 2018 release date came fairly late into the year, it doesn't stop the fact that the game was snubbed from the 'most anticipated title of 2018' category.
One of the main reasons for this is possibly because of the amount of highly anticipated games already on the list, such as Marvel's Spider-Man, God of War and The Last Of Us Part Two. Despite this, it can't be argued that Kingdom Hearts 3 is easily one of the most anticipated titles of this generation.
Kingdom Hearts 3 may not have the audience of something like Spider-Man, but that doesn't change the fact that it has a substantial fan base that have been anxiously awaiting the game for several years now.
Whether it's because The Game Awards don't believe the game to be comparable to The Last Of Us, or simply because it was forgotten, Kingdom Hearts 3 certainly deserved a nomination.
