10 Biggest WTF Moments In Recent Video Games

The Legend of Zelda is renowned for its incredible fighting mechanics, elaborate puzzles, and focus on exploration. However, it also has a reputation for being... strange. After experiencing The Windmill Man Paradox, the nightmare-inducing Great Fairies, the killer Cuccos, the human-faced Ooccoos, and frickin' Tingle, fans should've gotten use to all the absurdity.

And yet, every instalment leaves gamers crying out, "What the hell was that?" at some point. Unsurprisingly, Tears of the Kingdom is no different.

In the prologue, Ganondorf destroys the Master Sword, before casting Princess Zelda into the distant past. Believing Link cannot defeat the Demon King without the sword, Zelda formulates a plan to fix the enchanted blade and return it to the Hero of Time.

So, how does she do this? She eats a magical stone that transforms her into an immortal dragon. Okay, didn't see that coming. Knowing the Master Sword will heal over time, she imbeds it into her draconified skull (as you do), and then flies around for millennia, until Link finds her and retrieves his sacred weapon.

Although there are dozens of bizarre moments in the franchise, it's difficult to think of anything more gobsmacking than Princess Zelda's mind-boggling plan.
