With each passing year, it seems like more games are being released to players in a state best described as "broken", functioning far and away from the manner in which they were advertised, and draining away consumer goodwill along the way.
From huge AAA current-gen titles to infamously busted PC games from a decade ago, it's certainly not a new practice, and so perhaps we should at least be grateful that modern developers have the ability to send us patches and updates...even if it does promote lazy launches and a "we'll fix it after it ships" attitude.
While many damaged games do end up fixed completely in the days and weeks after they hit stores, these games still remain fundamentally dysfunctional, and as you can guess, those who shelled out for them are still pretty damn p*ssed about it, no matter how long ago it was.
