These memories serve as locations to gather Giant Souls that reduce Vendrick's resistances and there are also a pair underneath Black Gulch, by the Forgotten Door.

Yhorm the Giant is one of the Lords of Cinder in Dark Souls 3 and is noted because even though his kind was hated by humans, he was chosen to rule over them. Defeating him with the Storm Ruler and Siegward at your side is a bittersweet moment.
