10 Deleted Video Game Scenes You Need To See

1. Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro - 9/11 References

Around the time of 9/11, many notable changes had to be made to respect the events that happened and tragic outcome for many lives. The result meant that many films and TV shows had to remove any trace of the Twin Towers from their finished products.

One example was the original Spider-Man film which had promotional material which contained the towers. This was quickly altered to remove any reference of such.

Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro on the PlayStation 1 was also affected by this.

The final battle saw the web-slinging hero finally gearing up to take on the deadly Electro. The said battle was originally intended to take place on towers resembling the Twin Towers. Due to this, the game was quickly removed from shelves and re-edited with any trace of the towers removed.

The ending scene now took place on a nameless rooftop, with no references to any towers of the sort. Not only this, but the developers also altered many names of levels that may have been misconstrued to reference the towers. It was an unusual time and unusual steps were taken to rectify it.

But you can see the remnants of what the game was originally going to be still today, highlighting itself as a piece of history for a strange circumstance.
