7. Outlast 2

If Resident Evil 7 has taught us anything, it's that people love to get terrified. Considering what the first Outlast brought to the table, developer Red Barrels seems more than ready to give people nightmares with Outlast 2.

Similar to Outlast, the sequel will involve the same claustrophobic first-person horror experience, as the protagonist works to find his wife in the midst of a murder investigation. Oh, and you'll be playing a cameraman just like in Outlast, so there'll be plenty of scares both in the dark and in night vision mode. Considering the middle-of-nowhere location you'll be prowling around, and the plentiful amount of psychos surrounding you, it seems like the whole game will be a massive thrill ride.

As long as the game doesn't feel too much like a retread of familiar territory, Outlast 2 should provide horror fans an experience that'll terrify them in and out of the dark.
