10 Incredible Video Games You Can Finish In Under An Hour
These games are here for a good time, not a long time!
How often have you seen a new video game release boast about how long the campaign is? Gaming has reached a point where bloated runtimes have led to a seeming belief that anything less than triple or even double digits is considered too short. It makes sense, given the price of games, you want to make sure you get a lot of bang for your buck.
However, while long playtimes and expansive side content are often a big plus point for a game, sometimes, you just want something short and sweet, something you can finish in one sitting. Thankfully, there are plenty of options you can delve into if that is what you seek, as the world of indie gaming is jam-packed with bite-sized treats you don't want to miss.
The following ten games are incredibly unique titles, spanning across a range of genres. Ultimately, they all have two things in common: one, they are incredible, and two, you can have them all done within an hour. If you've got some spare time, then consider giving these little gems a go.
10. Pineapple on Pizza (2023)
The mission statement of this game, as per the devs (Majorariatto), is to ponder whether a video game can "convey a flavour." This is a pretty tall task, given that the flavour this short comedy is attempting to replicate is one as complex and controversial as pineapple on pizza. Still, it does a surprisingly good job of it.
This little title, which will, on average, take you less than 15 minutes to play, starts with you exploring an island full of people dancing to a cute song and having a whale of a time. That is, until something happens and everything changes. As the Steam description itself says, "surprise does enhance the flavour," so that is the limit of what can be said without ruining the experience.
Now, this is a game you need to try. If its short runtime and whopping price tag of absolutely free aren't enough to pique your interest, then just know that you'll be left with your sides-splitting and your mind blown by this bizarro game. It goes in a direction you'd never expect.
