The grand appeal of video games over other art forms is, of course, their interactivity, granting players the agency to guide the story and gameplay how they want, within reason, and do things they just can't - or shouldn't - in real life.
Games can be an outlet to explore our mischievous side free of real world punishment, then, but sometimes games fully expect this of players, and have a pre-prepared answer when you start acting like a digital dick.
Sometimes games will call you out for being a jerkwad in-game, and perhaps even get specific enough that a boss or high-level enemy straight-up reacts to your questionable behaviour.

These bosses all saw what you did - from taking issue with your lousy time-keeping to catching your thieving ass red-handed and everything else in-between - and reacted explicitly to it.

10. Kent Swanson - Dead Rising
Tardiness may be a relatively minor infraction in the grand scheme of things, but it's still a simple mark of respect to turn up on time and show people that you value their time as much as your own, right?
Case in point, in Dead Rising you're invited to meet up with maniacal photographer Kent Swanson at noon on the dot.
If you turn up at noon, you'll find Kent attempting to infect an innocent civilian in a sick effort to take a photo of someone the moment that they turn into a zombie.
You end up interrupting the macabre artistic exercise, leading to a boss fight where you promptly take Kent down.
However, if you fail to respect Kent's time and show up more than five minutes late to meet with him, things will go down quite differently.
In this case, Kent has already infected the poor civilian, and to make you feel even worse, Kent then strips you down to your undies and chains you up, putting you at a considerable disadvantage for the boss fight that follows.
