10 Most Infuriating Cards In Magic: The Gathering
1. Jokulhaups
As far as board wipes go, there are many who would describe them as a necessary evil to put a stopper on overly aggressive aggro decks. However, there are not many board wipes which target lands, partially because they’re a terrible idea. Unfortunately however, Jokulhaups exists. It not only destroys all creatures like a typical board wipe but also gets rid of all artifacts and lands, meaning everyone, including the caster, basically loses everything.
A clever player will float all of their mana, play this card, and use what remains of their floated mana to play whatever creature they can afford and win with several turns of uncontested board presence. While I can completely understand playing Armageddon which only targets lands, allowing the caster to play a load of mana rocks in preparation, this card is made all the more infuriating since it isn’t even necessarily good for the player who uses it.
Completely putting a halt on the game and basically having to restart it with the remaining deck each player has is in no way fun and incredibly frustrating, making this the card which ranks as number 1 on this list.
