10 Most Ridiculous Things You Did For Gaming
1. Waiting In Line For A Midnight Launch
I want to preface this last entry by saying that if you've never attended a midnight launch for a game - you aren't missing much but I would recommend attending at least one. The atmosphere can be fun; surrounded by like-minded individuals just as excited as you are to play a game.
Midnight releases for consoles have their benefits too - especially if there is a legitimate fear of short supply. But on the other end of the scale...
It's understandable you'd be excited for the new GTA, or FIFA, and (speaking from experience) some shops have run out of the new hot game on launch day. But by the time you got your pre-order, installed it and it's ready to play, you're too tired to focus and head to bed (no doubt at about 2am). You could have saved the energy for the next day and got it at a much more leisurely time.
As soon as you realize that the New Years Eve Countdown is a load of old tosh, you also realize that you can very easily wait until the following morning of a game's release and get your copy of COD in your own leisure time.
