10 Promising First & Third-Person Shooters Coming In 2022
1. Crossfire X
CrossfireX is the third instalment in the Crossfire series, a tactical first person shooter franchise which is particularly popular in Asia.
The game will feature a free to play multiplayer component, consisting of objective based modes similar to Counter Strike. The main mode will see one team defending an area whilst the other team attempts to plant a bomb. A variation of this mode will also be included in which the attacking team are only equipped with knives and will become invisible as long as they are not moving.
Interestingly, the single player campaign is being developed by a separate studio in Remedy Entertainment. Remedy have previously produced stellar experiences such as Control and Alan Wake.
They have stated that their aim is to create characters that are 'larger than life', taking inspiration from the popular Resident Evil and Metal Gear game series. The story will revolve around the conflict between two rival factions, Black List and Global Risk. The game will release directly onto Xbox game pass, allowing over 25 million players access to the new first person shooter title.
The free to play shooter is set to launch on February 10th.
