We know it’s Kojima, and we know we can’t wait... but we don’t really know much more than that.

Every new trailer has done more to raise questions than provide answers, but that hasn’t dampened the enthusiasm one bit. Death Stranding is still the most anticipated title of the year, even if you’d struggle explaining it to someone who’s never heard of it.

What we know so far, aside from the fact Kojima is at the helm, is that it boasts a stellar cast, and is a third person open world action game. However, even that’s not set in stone. Kojima himself has questioned the action label, saying that Metal Gear was called an action game on release but is now seen as one of the earliest titles in the stealth genre.

It could be then that Death Stranding is a genre unto itself, and may prove hugely influential going forward.

Full of weird and trippy visuals, the game is set to be chock full of statements on life and death. It even includes timefall, a type of rain which ages whatever it lands on.

Oh, and you can make Norman Reedus have a wee. What more is there to say?
