10. You Can Improve Your Pokéballs Chances
The key thing that separates Pokémon from most other RPGs, is the ability to capture and manage your very own team of creatures. A large part of the games are spent fighting wild Pokémon in order to not only train up your existing group, but also to add more to the roster. Using a Pokéball on a Pokémon youve been hunting for hours can be a nerve-wracking experience, as the creature inside wriggles and wrestles in an attempt to escape. After the Pokéball is thrown, the result is totally out of the players hands, calculated based on the remaining health of the creature, along with any special conditions it was under at the time. Despite this fact, many players have their own special method of ensuring the capture is successful. From tapping the A and B buttons intermittently, to holding Down on the D-Pad, everyone seemed to have their own creative way of trying to skew their chances. Sadly, theres absolutely no button combo that will alter the outcome (not that it will ever stop us trying!)
