10 Things Red Dead Redemption 2 Must Learn From GTA Online
6. Raise The Stakes When It Comes To Player Bounties
For the vast majority of players GTA Online's bounty system is a burden. Not just because it lights you up for the whole lobby to torment, but also because the payouts for accomplishing a bounty are, shall we say, pitiful.
It would be a complete shame to do away with such a fantastic premise however, and considering just how bounty-rific the old west was, their return and eventual refinement would feel right at home in Red Dead's next instalment.
Perhaps Rockstar could implement a system where the more carnage a player wreaks on the map (PVP kills, civilian kills, robberies etc.), the more likely it is the state will issue a bounty on their head. Whether you posse up and split the dough or go it alone and reap the reward for yourself, there's no denying this would make Rockstar's western all the more absorbing.
