With the release of the Xbox One and the Playstation 4, the eighth generation of home video game consoles is now in full effect. Shiny new games line store shelves, media outlets everywhere are on a blitz, and forums across the web are abuzz with discussion, joy, and fanboy hostility. It's an exciting time to be a gamer, without a doubt. It can also be a time where those of us who are not yet making the plunge into the next generation can feel somewhat left behind. Even though the current offerings on the new consoles are nothing to write home about, it's in our blood to want the latest and greatest tech out there. However, what should absolutely make us feel better is the fact that there are still many excellent games coming to PS3's and 360's for quite some time going forward. Not only are several of the biggest upcoming games, such as Thief, The Evil Within, and Watch Dogs going to make appearances on both generations of consoles, but unbeknownst to many, there is a whole slew of games coming to PS3 and 360 that won't be making their way to the new consoles at all. So if you're online one evening, and see any of your next-gen early adopter friends suddenly booting up their ancient PS3's and 360's in the coming months, it's likely that one or more of these promising-looking titles will be the reason why.
