A slick, martial arts fighting game, Sifu is a classic tale of revenge which wears its kung fu flick influences proudly on its sleeve.

Not only does this title boast the unique death mechanic which ages the protagonist after each defeat, but Sifu likewise contains some of the best combat in recent games. However, the fast-paced melee is just as uncompromising as it is comprehensive, with boss fights at the end of each of the five levels testing the player’s skills.

While each of these bosses puts up their own imposing challenge, it’s Yang The Leader who proves to be this game’s ultimate test.

Living up to the expectation of the final boss in an already hard at nails game, Yang is a strong and nimble adversary able to hit players hard and fast. The wide range of combos at his disposal likewise makes learning his attacks harder than any of the other bosses. But it’s the player’s inability to use their focus meter which puts this boss on this list.

Without the ability to slow down time to make this fight easier, defeating Yang requires players to prove that they've mastered the fundamentals of attacking and dodging to beat the game.
