9. The Silver Shroud Trenchcoat - Fallout 4
The Silver Shroud is a comic book hero from Fallout 4’s universe. In one of the game’s side missions, the player can actually don the outfit of this fictional vigilante in order to help a comic book nerd fulfill his dream of protecting Boston alongside his personal role model.
After the mission is complete, the Shroud’s trenchcoat becomes nothing but a simple joke item that offers some degree of protection if you bother to upgrade it.
That said, if you have the Automatron DLC, the fit can become relevant again by giving you a chance to instantly defeat the expansion’s main villain.
During the final confrontation with the Mechanist, another comic book character whom the villain uses as her alter ego, if you wear the Silver Shroud outfit, the girl will actually recognize you as the lone vigilante.
When speaking with her, you unlock special Silver Shroud dialogue options, and choosing all of them will allow you to reason with the girl, making her surrender to you without any fighting or even charisma checks!
