2. Tali: Treason - Mass Effect 2
The loyalty missions on the whole in Mass Effect 2 are some of the most fun players can have in the game, and help them get to know their teammates on a far more intimate and deeper level. Arguably no mission is a better example of this in action than the Tali: Treason side quest.
After picking up her services in Dossier - Tali and completing various other loyalty missions for Jacob, Miranda, Jack, Mordin, Grunt, Garrus, and Samara, players will be given the prompt to speak to Tali. She will reveal that she's been accused of treason by her people which, for an individual who has been shown to be so selfless, immediately adds some serious emotional depth to this mission.
From there, players will have to retake a Geth-controlled ship called Alarei in what is undoubtedly one of the tensest and most gripping combat sequences in the game, with the layout of the ship helping to invoke a feeling of the stakes being as high as possible.
Players even have the choice of taking their role-playing to even further levels after clearing the Alarei, with how they choose to clear Tali's name having ramifications on their interactions even after the quest comes to a close.
