8. Competent Negotiator - Persona 5

Persona 5 is a huge game that will probably take you north of 100 hours to complete but one of the toughest trophies to obtain isn’t related to skill or even grinding, it’s pop rate is just so insanely low you can easily play this thing from end to end and never even see it.

The Competent Negotiator trophy can be obtained by successfully rescuing one of your characters after an enemy takes them hostage. This is pretty simple in and of itself, you just agree to the baddie’s demands and hand over some yen or call up the Thieves’ Guild for help. The problem here is actually having one of your buddies taken hostage in the first place because this almost never happens. It’s only slightly likely when one of your pals has suffered a critical hit or a weakness exploitation and has consequently low HP but even then they’ll probably just go for another hit.

Personally, I’ve played through Persona 5 and Royal and never seen this one come up in almost 300 hours of gameplay so, you know, good luck out there trophy hunters.
