Arguably the most hear-wrenching video game death of all time, Lee Everett's demise at the end of Telltale's masterpiece The Walking Dead Season One is as devastating as it is strangely beautiful.

From their chance meeting at the game's outset, Lee and Clementine's journey across Georgia was without doubt the gaming highlight of 2012.

As they tried to survive, scavenging whatever food and medical supplies they could get their hands on, making and breaking bonds of friendship along the way with the Greens, Kenny, Katjaa, and numerous others, Lee and Clem instantly became one of the most recognisable and most beloved duos in gaming.

Sadly, Lee's luck could not hold forever.

Bitten by a walker hidden beneath a trash pile he was investigating, Lee's condition worsens throughout the game's latter stages until he ultimately succumbs to his wound.

In a scene which still stirs the emotions to this day, little Clementine is faced with a devastating decision: to shoot the dying Lee and prevent him from turning, or to walk away and leave Lee to become the very thing they have been running from all along.

Heading out on her own, innocence lost and a new resolve stirring in her blood, Clementine WILL remember this...
