Metacritic Score: 71 For starters, it has to be said that every bad word written about Evolution Studios' troubled racer over the first two months following its release were pretty much on the money. The game, which launched with crippling server problems, was savaged by the gaming press and players alike, while many felt justifiably annoyed that the promised PlayStation Plus version was delayed, and 3 months later, has yet to materialise. However, having played the game in January 2015, it's safe to say that the servers are mostly stabilised now, and while hardly a revolutionary racer for the ages, Driveclub certainly is a satisfying racing game with plenty to offer those desperate for a PS4 driving game. The track and car selections are far from comprehensive, but the Tour mode is insanely addictive, the graphics are gorgeous, and now that it works, online play is a whole lot of fun. Sadly, the damage has mostly been done to the game already, and it's undestandable that most aren't prepared to pay money to a studio who screwed up so badly. Still, the game is already available for roughly half its original retail price, so what better time to dive into what is now a criminally misunderstood racer?
