The Buzz: The long-awaited RTS sequel to 2009's classic original, Halo Wars 2 takes place shortly after the events of Halo 5: Guardians, with the crew of the UNSC warship Spirit of Fire waking from cryosleep to find a new enemy faction on their doorstep named the Banished.

Hiring Total War developers Creative Assembly has heightened the already strong level of buzz the game has achieved, and they've promised that it will feature a much clearer engagement with the Halo universe than the original title.

In addition to a thirteen-mission campaign, HW2 will also tout co-operative online play and a number of multiplayer match types: Deathmatch, Domination, Strongholds, and the still under-wraps Blitz.

RTS on consoles is always something of a tough sell, though if there's anyone who can follow the original's footsteps and make it work once again, it's Creative Assembly.
