15 Games That MUST Be On The PlayStation Classic

Modern gamers used to causing havoc in the hyper-realistic (albeit tonally dissonant) streets of Los Santos probably can't understand what all the fuss is about Driver. After all, it's GTA, without any of the crime and all of the tedious ferrying.

By 2018 standards, this lack of variety comes across as insubstantial. In 1999, the fully 3D Driver was leaps and bounds beyond Rockstar's dated top-down effort, with the heightened focus making for a more immediate pleasure. There are no guns firing, no off-track minigames - heck, you can't even leave the vehicle - after all: you are the wheelman. Like Gran Turismo, it's pure driving - including, distressingly, a rock hard license test.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
