15 Hugely Anticipated Video Games That Must Be At E3 2016

Come on Sony, we know it's real, just show off Spidey already.

Whilst the industry might be slowly withdrawing from E3 (both Nintendo and EA are sitting this year out in terms of full conferences, anyway), I personally love everything about 'E3 season'.

The announcements, the new games, resurrected franchises, jibes from one company to another - you just can't beat the one time of the year where everyone in possession of an eye or two is watching it all unfold. Needless to say we can expect nothing less than more monumental surprises this year, especially if the following rumours and speculations come true.

So, although things like Watch Dogs 2 and Pokmon Sun & Moon are both confirmed to show up (the former thanks to a leak, ushering Ubisoft to catch up with the masses), let's look at all the other games we simply need to see make an appearance and share the spotlight.

15. Borderlands 3

Gearbox might go down in history as planning the worst-timed launch in quite some time as Battleborn is currently being eaten alive by the mighty Overwatch, but Borderlands has always been their flagship franchise, and for good reason.

The loot-heavy shooter took a bit of a quirkier turn across its sequel that mostly succeeded, but still alienated certain fans who didn't want its tone to be so whacky, that it felt like a Youtube celebrity compilation.

That said, gunplay was spot on, and latest word is CEO Randy Pitchford mentioning it was definitely coming. Borderlands 3 is already in development, and a grand unveiling is pretty much a no-brainer at this point.
