Microsoft has made so many fumbles this year, it could've taken up a dozen entries on this list. But that wouldn't be fair, so we've decided to compress some (but not all) their screw-ups in one entry.

In recent times, it's obvious the Xbox Series X/S is struggling to produce enough strong exclusives. This has compelled the powers-that-be to sell first-party titles to competing platforms, making the Xbox fade into the background. Hardware has suffered a major slump, which has led to mass layoffs, cancelled projects, and shuttered studios.

To hit unrealistic financial targets, the corporation's big wigs focused on established IPs rather than experimental titles or indies. Basically, they're trading profit over creativity. Tarnishing their rep further, they jacked up the price of their consoles and services, including the Xbox Game Pass.

What's worse is Microsoft has repeatedly lied that such changes were imminent just before they were implemented, obliterating public trust.
