2. As Is Your First Catch
That's right! Your first partner Pokémon may be special, but the thrill of getting out there and catching one of your very own will slightly top this feeling. Everyone remembers their first catch in a Pokémon game, and the chances are that special beast would have been with you for just as long as your starter.
My first catch was a Nidoran♂ that I trained up and evolved into an imposing Nidoking later in the game. As a kid I was obsessed by this thing and, while I've since discovered just how mediocre it really is, I'll always be particularly fond of it.
So whether your first was a slimy Caterpie, an inquisitive Sentret or literally anything else in the Pokémon world, I'd be willing to bet that you still remember that first catch to this very day. I can't put money on that bet, though; I need all of my Pokédollars for potions at the Victory Road Mart!
